Diving sites Puri Jati (Macro)

Situated not far from Lovina, this safari site is loveable and enjoyable to dive. Even this dive location is similar to Seraya, Gilimanuk or Lembeh, it has its own unique characteristic. The topography of this spot is dark volcanic sand with some seaweed and soft coral. The mimic octopus and other rare species of octopus occupy this place. Sometimes the dolphins come out to suprise you. Fabulous diving stories regularly come from divers who have already dived there. Puri Jati is also famous for its underwater photography. Macro photography is able to be taken there even in the night. With capturing frogfish, dragonets, seahorses, nudibranches, ambon scorpion fish and devil fish, your entire diving experience will guide you to an unforgettable memory. Plateau 200 meters wide between 5 meters and 7 meters deep, then a slope up to twenty meters deep. There is no point in going too deep on this site where we find exceptional creatures in 5 meters of water. The site offers an interesting alternative to Secret bay for Macro enthusiasts since Pemuteran. The macro or muck dive site is one of Bali's most famous. You can find blue ring octopus, devil scorpion fish, hairy fish frog, ambon scorpion fish and many other creatures that will be a hit with biodiversity lovers.

You can easily dive to 2 or 3 different places on this site, so as to maximize your chances. A good guide regularly dipping the site and knowing what to look for will greatly enhance your experience in Puri Jati.

Accessibility

About 30 minutes drive from Pemuteran, access from the edge. You can easily do 2 different dives because the site is about 1.5 kilometers long.

Fauna

You will see incredible fish such as the Hairy frog fish, scorpion ambon fish, scorpion devil fish, mimic octopus, blue ring octopus, coconut octopus. Also discover ghost fish, nudibranchs and many shrimp species!

Flora

Puri Jati is mostly sand, with some soft corals. This is the kingdom of the muck dive. In short, it's almost sand.

Depth

Remarks

Interesting for photographers and macro enthusiasts. Black sand bottom end, so be careful not to raise particle clouds that will annoy the group photographers. There is no danger, however, and a level 1 diver could accompany a group of experienced divers without worries.
