Diving sites Mangrove

The dive site Mangrove is situated between Nusa (meaning island) Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan.  As its name implies, this site is characterized by an expanse of mangrove and serves an important role in the local ecosystem.  The reef and sloping seabed are thick and plentiful with marine flora, completely covered with a multitude of species of coral, sponges, anemones, and a rich variety of animal life.  Along a gentle slope that steadily descends to between 8 - 20 metres deep, you and your dive group will drift with the current that varies in intensity from weak to strong.  The quality of the reef makes this dive site one of the most beautiful found in the Nusa Lembongan/Penida marine park.  Mangrove is also known as a good location for snorkeling.

Accessibility

Be ready to jump! Barely 10 minutes by boat from Jungutbatu beach and off you go!

Fauna

Mangrove is very rich in terms of fish species. You will see many giant puffers, scorpion fish, angel, clown, trunk, nudibranchs, moray eels, nurse sharks, turtles ... Whale sharks and Ray Manta have even been seen on this site!

Flora

There is everything! Hard and soft corals, rocks, sand corridors between the corals. The colors are extraordinary.

Depth

At Mangrove, there is no point in going down below 15 meters.

Dive type

Drift !!!!!!! Depending on the tide, you can cover half of the site in 1 hour, as can be seen in full in 20 minutes! Divers drifters will enjoy!

Remarks

For all levels! We gladly take our Open Water at the end of the course. We adapt the departure on Mangrove according to the level of the divers and the tides schedules. Everyone will find his happiness.
